The Weekend Bangers (Jan 26 – 31, 2018)

Eintracht Frankfurt vs Borussia Monchengladbach (German Bundesliga)
Eintracht Frankfurt is undefeated in their last four league matches, picking up two victories. Another victory will send Frankfurt above a Borussia Monchengladbach that has been inconsistent in recent league matches.

Eintracht Frankfurt sits 7th on 30 points, while Borussia Monchengladbach is 5th with 31 points.

Valencia vs Real Madrid (Spanish La Liga)
Valencia is coming from a defeat while Real Madrid is coming from a huge league victory.

It feels ‘different’ when a football giant like Real Madrid not to be in a title race at this point of the season. Real Madrid will be hoping to get a result that will get them back in their expected position in the league table.

Five points separate 3rd place Valencia from 4th place Real Madrid in the Spanish La Liga. With Real Madrid having a match in hand, a victory here will put them in position to wipe out the point-gap between the sides.

AC Milan vs Lazio (Italian Serie A)
15 points separate 3rd place Lazio from 7th place AC Milan, but there couldn’t be a better time for them to meet this season.

AC Milan hasn’t had the season that was expected, but 2 wins within three undefeated run in the Serie A is a sign that Milan might be picking up a good form. On the other hand, Lazio has been in a decent form for most of the season. They are 3rd in the league, undefeated in their last 6 league matches, picking up 4 victories in that run.

This is a test for Milan.

Marseille vs Monaco (French Ligue 1)
Both sides will be going to a victory that can see them finish the round as second in the league table.
Defending champions Monaco finds themselves in the 4th place after 22 rounds of the 2017/18 French Ligue 1 season, but an away victory against Marseille will see Monaco go as far as the 2nd place in the league. Home team Marseille is 3rd in the league will be going to this game with the same objectives as Monaco.

Tottenham vs Manchester United (English Premier League)
They have one thing in common, their last defeat in the league was against Manchester City.

2nd-place Manchester United is looking to tighten up the Premier League title race by grabbing maximum points from their remaining matches. 5th-place Tottenham Hotspur is hoping to make a return to the top-four with a victory at home.

Two ambitious teams going at each other. Tottenham is undefeated in their last 6 league matches, winning four of those games. Manchester United is undefeated in their last 8 matches, winning five of those games.
