English Premier League

The shake-ups in the top domestic League (March 15 – 17)

The international break is upon us.

There are 10 or fewer matches left in each of the top European leagues.
The predictability of the title winners in Italy and France remains the easiest to do.

Juventus suffered the first defeat of their Italian Serie A season over the weekend but it isn’t a call for concern for a team that is still 15 points clear at the top of the league standings and 40 goals to the good.

Paris St. Germain with a match in hand remains very comfortable at the top of the French Ligue 1 table with a 20 point gap between themselves and the chasing pack.

Barcelona looks to run away with another Spanish La Liga title after widening their lead to 10 points.

Germany and England remain a tight contest between two teams.
The pre-season favorites in both leagues have come from behind to make it uncomfortable for the challengers. Bayern Munich (pre-season favorite) has made up for points dropped earlier in the season to catch up with Borussia Dortmund(challenger) in the German Bundesliga title race, while Manchester City (pre-season favorite) closed the gap to take an advantage over Liverpool (challenger) in the English Premier League.
