Highlighted fixtures for this weekend and Monday. #WeekendBangers

February 16, 2019
Augsburg vs Bayern Munich (German Bundesliga)
Bayern Munich will have the chance to put to some pressure on leaders Borussia Dortmund when they open the 22nd Round of the 2018/19 season. The last time the two sides met in the league, Augsburg managed to come out of the Allianz Arena with a point from a ‘1-1’ draw. Bayern can’t slip up in this match if they intend on defending their league title. At the tip of the drop-zone in the league standings, Augsburg will want something(points) out of this fixture.

Celta Vigo vs Levante (Spanish La Liga)
Even though they are currently positioned at the edge of the relegation zone in the La Liga standings, Celta Vigo is also three points away from Levante. A home victory against Levante will help Celta Vigo and will leap above them in the league standings.

Schalke vs Freiburg (German Bundesliga)
There isn’t an immediate relegation danger but it’s better to be safe than sorry for Schalke and Freiburg. Both sides could use three points from this match. Schalke is only a point (22) behind Freiburg.

Hertha Berlin vs Werder Bremen (German Bundesliga)
Werder Bremen will be hoping to repeat the result of their earlier meeting when they face Hertha Berlin. Both sides coming into the match on the back of a league victory. A point separates the two sides.

Real Sociedad vs Leganés (Spanish La Liga)
Leganes will leap above Real Sociedad if they stretch their winning streak to three matches.

Barcelona vs Real Valladolid (Spanish La Liga)
To avoid the pressure from the chasing pack; especially Real Madrid, Barcelona must make up for the points dropped against Athletic Club by getting maximum points from against Real Valladolid.

Atalanta vs AC Milan (Italian Serie A)
Top four on the line. Champions League position.
AC Milan will have to fight for their place in the top four against an Atalanta side that is unbeaten in 8 matches (6 wins and 2 draws). Aside from the Super Cup defeat to Juventus, AC Milan is also unbeaten in 8 matches (5 wins and 3 draws)

February 17, 2019
Eintracht Frankfurt vs Borussia Monchengladbach (Germany Bundesliga)
RB Leipzig will be the main beneficiary of this tie if they win at Stuttgart.
A successive defeat for Monchengladbach would expose them to the risk of losing their grip on being in the ‘top 3’ and also give an opportunity for Bayern Munich to widen the gap between the two sides in the Bundesliga standings. Eintracht Frankfurt will be hoping to end three consecutive league draws with a victory at home against Borussia Monchengladbach. With four teams at their tail in the league standings, Frankfurt can’t afford to drop any more points at this point of the season.

Sporting CP vs Braga (Portuguese Primeira Liga)
Sporting CP’s chance of not falling too far away from the title race in Portugal.

Saint-Etienne vs Paris St. Germain (French Ligue 1)
This is more for Saint-Etienne than for PSG.
Fourth-place Saint-Etienne’s position in the French Ligue 1 standing is threatened by three teams.

February 18, 2019
Chelsea vs Manchester United (English FA Cup)
A heavyweight clash in the 5th round of the English FA Cup.
