BVB is 4 points clear at the top of the league while Bayern Munich sits at the door of the ‘top four’
Dortmund got the better of the three goals scored in the second half to take an away victory against Mainz.

Paco Alcacer rewarded his new club by scoring the opening goal of the match to give Dortmund the lead before Lukas Piszczek restored it with the deciding goal. Dortmund remains unbeaten in the league while Paco Alcacer gets a three-way tie at the top of the ‘golden boot’ race with two Eintracht Frankfurt players (Luka Jovic and Sebastien Haller)

Newly-promoted Fortuna Dusseldorf comes out of the Allianz Arena.
Dodi Lukebakio gave a man of the match performance when he supplied all the goals for Fortuna Dusseldorf to secure a point from a ‘3-3’ draw against defending champions Bayern Munich.
Three straight league matches without a win has Bayern 9 points behind league leaders Borussia Dortmund.

Kevin Volland scored two goals as his Bayer Leverkusen side moved closer to safety while dropping Stuttgart to the bottom of the table.

Hoffenheim missed out on the opportunity to take maximum advantage of Bayern Munich’s dropped points. Three-point gap remains between Hoffenheim and Hertha Berlin after both sides scored 3 goals each to end the round with a point each.

RB Leipzig losses grip and suffer their second league defeat of the season at Wolfsburg and made room for Eintracht Frankfurt to leap over them in the league standings with a ‘3-1’ victory at Augsburg.

Two goals in the final 10 minutes gave Schalke the breathing room in a 7-goal thriller with newly-promoted Nurnberg, while a late goal saved Werder Bremen a point against Freiburg.

A fourth-straight victory in the league for Borussia Monchengladbach has them on the heels of Borussia Dortmund at the top of the league standings. Monchengladbach recovered from conceding a goal in the first minute of their match against Hannover 96 to win convincingly by three goals.
