Liverpool conceded two goals and suffered a defeat for the first time in the season as Manchester City wins at home to cut Liverpool’s lead at the top to 4 points. Four points isn’t that wide when 51 points available for each team in the league.
We expected an intense game and that was what we got when Liverpool visited Manchester City. Both sides were set up for a win and went for the maximum points.
Leroy Sane’s 72nd-minute goal decided the match for Manchester City after Roberto Firmino headed Liverpool to level terms.

The teams from London made amends for their results from last round.
Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Harry Kane took their chances and added a goal to their tally, while Mohamed Salah failed to join them and continue the three-horse race for the ‘golden boot’.

Jamie Vardy scored the first Premier League goal of 2019 with his 58th-minute match-winning goal for Leicester City to bounce back from defeat to Cardiff in the last round by sending Everton on a losing streak.

Arsenal made amends for the thrashing at Anfield with a comfortable 4-1 home victory against relegation-zoned Fulham. Pierre Aubameyang scored the last goal of the match to take his goal tally in the league to 14.

Tottenham made amends for their shocking defeat to Wolves by getting the job done in the first half-hour at Cardiff.
Harry Kane joined Aubameyang at the top of the scoring list when he opened the scoring for Tottenham with a goal in the 3rd minute.

Wolverhampton went from beating Tottenham at Wembley to losing at home to Crystal Palace.

Burnley climbed out of the relegation zone after a ‘2-1’ away victory against a 10-man Huddersfield Town.

An entertaining first half between Bournemouth and Watford provided 6 goals with 4 goals coming within a span of 6 minutes. The points were shared for Watford to keep the 2-point lead on Bournemouth on the league table.

Relegation-zone Southampton stole a point at Stamford Bridge after Chelsea’s domination couldn’t offer the goals to the game. A ‘0-0’ score kept Southampton as part of the bottom three in the league while opening Chelsea to a close contest for a place in the Champions League spot.

It was 4 out of 4 wins for Manchester United under Ole Gunner Solkjear, and finally a clean sheet.
Romelu Lukaku had an immediate impact by coming off the bench and scoring the opening/winning goal of the match for Manchester United to take all three points at the St. James Park.
